Job summary

Belysse seeks a Payroll & Compensation/Benefits Manager to organize payroll across national and international entities, and to design and manage the reward policy while leading the payroll team.

The role blends operational payroll with strategic reward planning and close collaboration with external partners, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting. A hands-on leader with strong analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in payroll and compensation & benefits.
• Experience as a people manager.
• International experience is a strong asset.
• Strong analytical skills and proficient in reporting and Excel.
• Both strategic and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating international payroll and liaising with local payroll and benefits providers
• Ensuring payroll quality, compliance, and reporting
• Working closely with Accounting & Controlling and acting as the point of contact for Finance
• Managing the Payroll Officer and HR Assistant and overseeing the Belgian payroll provider
• Developing and implementing the reward strategy (salary benchmarking, salary proposals, bonus plans, and benefits)
• Managing and optimizing HRIS (time registration and payroll systems), reporting, dashboards, and budget follow-up
• Advising management on compensation policy, reorganizations, role changes, and retention or exit cases
• Initiating and leading HR and payroll projects (e.g., pay transparency) and harmonizing policies
• Preparing audits and providing data for annual reports and compliance (including CSRD)

Are you an experienced payroll and reward professional with international experience and strong people management skills?

As Payroll & Compensation/Benefits Manager, you are responsible for the accurate and efficient organization of payroll (nationally and internationally), designing and managing the reward policy, and leading the payroll team. You combine operational expertise with strategic insight and work closely with external partners.
