Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is hiring a Revit Specialist to support the development of high-quality structural steel models for commercial and industrial projects. You will create, update, and coordinate 3D models in Revit to support fabrication, coordination, and field installation.

The ideal candidate has strong Revit proficiency, knowledge of steel systems, and experience coordinating with project managers and engineers to ensure constructability and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit and structural modeling workflows.
• Strong understanding of steel framing, welding, connections, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural framing systems for modular units.
• Produce Revit structural models.
• Ensure designs meet gravity, lateral, seismic, wind, and transport loads.
• Coordinate with Modular Engineering Manager and SEOR as needed.
• Support steel detailing team to translate design into fabrication details.
• Maintain revision and document control for structural drawings.
• Collaborate with architecture, mechanical, electrical, and controls designers for integration.
• Develop and maintain structural design standards and templates.
• Standardize naming conventions and modeling workflows.
• Identify opportunities to reduce design cycle time and improve manufacturability.

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revit Specialist to support the development of high-quality structural steel models for commercial and industrial construction projects. This role will be responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating 3D structural steel models using Autodesk Revit to support fabrication, coordination, and field installation efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, detailers, and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy, constructability, and adherence to project specifications. Strong technical proficiency in Revit, structural steel systems, and construction coordination is essential for success in this position.

Essential Functions

• Develop structural framing systems for modular units.
• Produce Revit structural models.
• Ensure designs meet structural performance requirements including gravity, lateral, seismic, wind, and transport loads.
• Coordinate with the Modular Engineering Manager and structural engineers of record (SEOR) when required.
• Support the steel detailing team to ensure structural intent is accurately translated into fabrication details.
• Maintain revision control and document control for all structural drawings.
• Work closely with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and controls designers to ensure structural integration.
• Develop and maintain structural design standards, templates, and repeatable modular framing systems.
• Standardize naming conventions, workflows, and structural modeling practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce design cycle time and improve manufacturability.
• Support training and development of junior designers in modular structural design.

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Required

• Proficiency in Revit and structural modeling workflows.
• Strong understanding of steel framing, welding, connections, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Experience with state modular programs.
• Experience producing fabrication‑ready structural details for modular or industrial steel systems.
• Familiarity with modular production workflows and shop sequencing.
• Lean/CI experience is a plus.
• Prior military experience is a plus.
