Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Greensboro-based team. You will design and draft detailed HVAC/mechanical systems for construction projects using Revit, collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver innovative, code-compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of HVAC design experience, with strong CAD skills, precise technical drawing ability, and good communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience HVAC/mechanical systems design.
• Proficiency in Revit is a must; knowledge of other CAD software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and construction methods.
• Excellent technical drawing skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Designing and drafting detailed mechanical systems for construction projects using Revit.
• Collaborating with project team to develop innovative and efficient design solutions.
• Reviewing project specifications to ensure designs meet all requirements.
• Conducting detailed calculations to establish installation standards.
• Inspecting installations to ensure compliance with design, equipment specs, and safety standards.
• Working with designers, drafters, and engineers for coordinated systems.
• Providing technical advice to project staff as needed.
• Staying current with new technology and equipment.
• Ensuring work complies with codes and standards.
• Participating in project meetings and providing progress updates.
