The Bureau of Water and Sewer Operations (BWSO) seeks to hire four Assistant Civil Engineers for its Site Connection Unit within the Division of Engineering, Connections and Permitting. The unit reviews and approves site and house connection proposals for sewer connections to city sewers, certifies connections for commercial and residential properties, and supports the design phase of projects by analyzing hydraulic components. Candidates will also read architectural, mechanical and plumbing drawings, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with professional engineers and developers to resolve engineering issues and meet DEP’s rules and regulations.
