POSITION SUMMARY

The Revenue Specialist, MVA investigate and analyze accounts in order to properly identify and coordinate insurance benefits and resolve outstanding balances for our clients. They work closely with the patient as well as insurance carriers until the claim has been reprocessed and payment has been issued.

THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Conduct online medical research of Motor Vehicle Accident claim payments using EnableComp's proprietary software, systems and tools, as well as other online medical websites.
• Research, request, acquire, and review medical records, provider notes, explanation of benefits and any other supporting documentation necessary for knowledge of appeal or account information, and then submit with hospital claims to insurance companies to ensure prompt correct claims reimbursement.
• Conduct timely and thorough telephone follow-up with payers to update claim system with accurate information and ensure supporting documentation has been received and facilitate prompt reimbursement.
• Prepare correct MVA initial bill packet or appeal letter using EnableComp systems tools and submit with all necessary supporting documentation to insurance companies.
• Delivers excellent outcomes through collaborative teamwork, continuous improvement, and a client-first approach-while contributing to an engaging, positive team culture
• Ability to accept and apply feedback to build proficiency in all responsibilities listed and adapt to changes in processes, priorities, and organizational needs.
• Achieves all established departmental performance and production targets, ensuring work is completed accurately and meets departmental expectations for output and efficiency.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2-4+ years' experience in healthcare field working in billing or collections.
• 2+ years' client facing/customer services experience.
• 1+ years' experience with MVA billing and collections required. Other complex claims experience a plus.
• Intermediate level understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and subsequent data requirements.
• Intermediate level understanding of MVA legal requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Must have strong computer proficiency and understand how to use basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time
• If working onsite, may occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment, etc.
