Job summary

SPS Commerce is seeking a Revenue Recovery Specialist to drive the resolution of invalid deductions across a diverse portfolio of retailer accounts (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target). You will investigate root causes, assemble documentation, and partner with the Customer Success Manager to deliver strong recovery and prevention outcomes.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence at our Rogers, AR or Minneapolis, MN offices.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with retailer deduction programs (Amazon chargebacks, Walmart OTIF, Target vendor compliance).
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable concepts, reconciliation, aging, and credit memos.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents (BOLs, PODs, ASNs) and invoices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with incomplete information.
• Ability to manage a high volume of disputes across a large book of accounts.
• Comfortable learning and using SPS Revenue Recovery platform or similar tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for disputes.

Responsibilities

• Use the SPS Revenue Recovery platform to identify, categorize, and prioritize invalid deductions across a portfolio of supplier and retailer accounts.
• Investigate the root cause of deductions and short-pays including pricing discrepancies, OTIF violations, damaged/missing goods, and promotional allowances.
• Review shipping documentation, purchase orders, and invoices to confirm accuracy and validity for each dispute.
• Reconcile deductions against accounts receivable/payable to confirm amounts owed and recovery eligibility.
• Build and file disputes with supporting documentation through retailer portals and the SPS platform, tracking through to resolution.
• Apply critical thinking to interpret incomplete documentation and determine the strongest recovery path.
• Follow up on open disputes to secure timely resolution and payment.
• Monitor deduction trends to identify prevention opportunities and raise them to the Customer Success Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of dispute status, root-cause findings, and recovery outcomes.

Position Summary

As a Revenue Recovery Specialist, you'll drive the resolution of invalid deductions across a book of retailer accounts (such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target) using the SPS Revenue Recovery platform. You'll investigate the root cause of deductions, build the documentation needed to dispute claims, and partner with the Customer Success Manager who owns each account relationship to deliver strong recovery and prevention outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Use the SPS Revenue Recovery platform to identify, category, and prioritize invalid deductions across a portfolio of supplier and retailer accounts.
• Investigate the root cause of deductions and short-pays - including pricing discrepancies, shipping and OTIF violations, damaged or missing goods, and promotional or co-op advertising allowances.
• Review shipping documentation (BOLs, PODs, ASNs), purchase orders, and invoices to confirm accuracy and validity in support of each dispute.
• Reconcile deductions against accounts receivable and accounts payable records to confirm amounts owed and validate recovery.
• Build and file disputes with supporting documentation through retailer portals and the SPS Revenue Recovery platform, tracking each case through to resolution.
• Apply critical thinking to interpret incomplete or ambiguous documentation and determine the strongest path to recovery.
• Follow up proactively on open disputes to secure timely resolution and payment.
• Monitor deduction trends across the book of accounts to identify prevention opportunities and flag them to the Customer Success Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of dispute status, root-cause findings, and recovery outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Familiarity with retailer deduction and compliance programs preferred (e.g., Amazon chargebacks, Walmart OTIF, Target vendor compliance).
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable concepts, including reconciliation, aging, and credit memos.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping and logistics documentation, including bills of lading, proofs of delivery, and advance ship notices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw sound conclusions from incomplete information.
• Ability to manage a high volume of disputes across a large book of accounts, prioritizing effectively to meet recovery deadlines.
• Comfortable learning and working within the SPS Revenue Recovery platform or similar deduction management tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting and explaining disputes to varied audiences.

This role follows a hybrid work model, with regular in-office presence required at our Rogers, AR or Minneapolis, MN office.

The hourly pay range for this role is: $29.47 - $34.62/hr. The actual pay offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
