Job summary

PostHog seeks a seasoned Revenue Accountant to own usage-based revenue recognition and ensure accurate month-end close. You’ll work with finance, billing engineering, and revops to Make the GL reflect the truth and drive clean revenue reporting.

You’ll be in a fast-growing, product-led environment with autonomous teams and a native remote culture, contributing to scalable controls and continuous improvement in revenue processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning usage-based revenue recognition in AI/SaaS.
• Strong GAAP and month-end close knowledge.
• Able to work independently and build scalable processes.
• Experience with revenue tech integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own daily revenue accounting operations for usage-based billing and related entries.
• Manage month-end and year-end close with the team to ensure accurate reporting.
• Oversee accounts receivable and billing queries from Sales or customers.
• Support annual financial audits with revenue documentation and controls.
• Own integration of the new billing ledger model with ERP systems.
• Identify opportunities to automate revenue accounting processes as we scale.
