Job summary

The University of Iowa is seeking a full-time Revenue Integrity and Performance Analyst in Iowa City. This role leads clinical systems optimization, coding compliance, data analytics, and revenue performance, collaborating with EPIC teams and hospital operations to drive efficiency and compliant revenue capture.

Responsibilities include developing dashboards, monitoring wRVUs and reimbursement metrics, and coordinating with central revenue cycle and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Public Health, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, coding, analytics, or clinical administration.
• Experience working in an academic medical center, physician practice, hospital, or healthcare organization.
• Experience supporting EPIC workflows and provider operations.
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary departmental resource for coding, billing, documentation, and charge capture inquiries.
• Analyze coding and billing trends to identify revenue enhancement opportunities and operational inefficiencies.
• Partner with central coding, billing, compliance, finance, and revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices.
• Monitor provider coding patterns, documentation quality, and reimbursement performance.
• Develop and maintain departmental training resources and operational guidance documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze departmental operational and financial dashboards utilizing Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Present findings and recommendations to departmental leadership and committee groups.
