The City of Auburn, AL is seeking a Revenue Officer to handle revenue compliance, financial accounting, and auditing duties under the Revenue Manager. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Revenue Manager and participates in enforcing tax and licensing ordinances.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years' experience in accounting or auditing, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and can manage sensitive information with integrity in a public service setting.

This position is responsible for performing revenue compliance, financial accounting, and auditing duties in support of the City’s revenue collection functions. This position reports to the Revenue Manager.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; one (1) to three (3) years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The work is sedentary work, which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Some walking is required during the enforcement of city taxes and licensing ordinances. Work is typically performed while sitting.
The work is typically performed in an office environment.
