Job summary

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, revenue management, AR, and financial analysis.

  • Oversee daily accounting activities, including the full revenue cycle and related processes.
  • Lead and develop the fiscal team with coaching, performance reviews, and hiring input.
  • Monitor revenue trends to forecast needs and support financial decisions.
  • Ensure internal controls and compliance across cashiering, receipting, deposits, reconciliations.
  • Partner with departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues and guide revenue initiatives.
  • Improve and streamline financial processes and technology, including dashboards and integrations.

Job description

We’re looking for a Revenue Manager to modernize the full revenue cycle—from cashiering and receipting to reconciliations, reporting, and accounts receivable. You’ll lead a customer‑centric team focused on streamlining processes and enabling data‑driven decisions across a public‑serving, highly regulated environment. Your work will continue to strengthen transparency, integrity, and confidence in our financial operations while elevating the experience for internal partners and the community.

  • Oversee daily accounting activities, including the full revenue cycle, accounts receivable, cashiering operations, and related financial processes and technology to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Leads and develops the fiscal teamthrough work assignment, coaching, performance evaluation, and hiring decisions, ensuring high quality, customer focused service across the full revenue cycle (cashiering, receipting, deposits, reconciliations, AR)
  • Monitor and analyze revenue trends to identify patterns, forecast needs, and support sound financial decision making across the department and City operations.
  • Ensure internal controls and compliance across cashiering, receipting, deposits, reconciliations, and accounting workflows in alignment with City policies and state regulations.
  • Partner with departments and external stakeholders to resolve account issues, provide fiscal guidance, and support cross departmental revenue related initiatives.
  • Improve and streamline financial processes/technology, including revenue tracking, reporting tools, system integrations, and data management to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field; 5 to 7 years' experience in administrative, financial, budgeting, accounting, or program management, or a related field

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Financial & Accounting Expertise -Deep understanding of accounting principles, revenue management, accounts receivable practices, and financial analysis.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking - Ability to evaluate financial trends, build financial models, interpret complex data, and develop forward‑looking recommendations.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement - Skill in enhancing accounting workflows, strengthening internal controls, and leveraging systems and tools (including ERP and dashboards) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Leadership & Staff Development -Experience leading teams through coaching, training, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, customer‑focused culture.
  • Customer Service, Communication & Collaboration - Ability to clearly communicate financial information and work effectively with the public, departments, committees, and external partners.
  • Compliance, Stewardship & Decision Making - Strong understanding of municipal policies, state regulations, and fiscal stewardship standards to ensure integrity, compliance, and sound decisions.
