Job summary

Allocate is seeking a Revenue Manager in Palo Alto to own revenue recognition and billing operations for a fast-scaling fintech platform. You will oversee the close process end-to-end, ensure data integrity across Salesforce and downstream systems, and build scalable processes and controls as product complexity grows.

The role reports to the Controller, requires 6+ years in revenue recognition/billing (SaaS/fintech), and involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Legal, and Product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition process (ASC 606) including contracts, deferred revenue, and journal entries.
• Manage billing lifecycle from contract to invoicing, ensuring accuracy across Salesforce and billing systems.
• Partner with RevOps and Engineering to maintain clean revenue data across databases and systems.
• Design scalable billing processes and controls to support growth.
• Own revenue-related reconciliations and monthly/quarterly close.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Product on new contract structures and revenue treatment.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual revenue and billing work as volume grows.
• Assist in preparing for external audit with schedules and policy docs.
• Lead technical accounting research for new revenue arrangements.
• Partner with Controller on ERP implementation for multi-entity structure.
