Job summary

Apollo helps teams build, operate, and scale the graphs that power modern applications. We’re seeking a Revenue Manager to own the order-to-cash engine end to end for subscription and usage-based revenue.

You’ll partner with Finance to modernize billing, collections, and reporting, and drive automation across the revenue stack. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with impact across Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Product, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including billing, accounts receivable, and revenue accounting at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience building and utilizing automations for process improvement.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of owning long-term projects on top of day-to-day tasks.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with NetSuite and modern billing and collections systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for reconciliations and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the order-to-cash process from order creation through invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Own the revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606, including monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support and maintain technical accounting memos and schedules for revenue recognition (ASC 606), capitalized commissions (ASC 340-40), internal-use software (ASC 350-40), and leases (ASC 842).
• Lead new billing and revenue system implementations, driving accounting requirements and keeping cross-functional stakeholders aligned on scope and timing.
• Create and deploy automation workflows across invoicing and collections to reduce process cycle times.
• Partner with Deal Desk and Product on new SKU launches and ensure systems and processes will be ready before the launch.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including revenue reconciliations, sales tax reporting, technical accounting areas and more.
• Support our annual financial audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests on revenue-related matters.
• Manage collections and oversee dunning processes, monitor AR aging, and conduct direct outreach to customers with past-due accounts

ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM

As Apollo's Revenue Manager you'll take ownership of our order-to-cash engine end to end, spanning subscription and usage-based revenue. You'll partner closely with Finance leadership to modernize how we bill, collect, and report, and you'll help build the systems and processes that let Apollo scale without friction. This is a builder's role: a hands-on, individual-contributor with real reach across Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Product, and Engineering. We're looking for someone who'd rather build than maintain what already exists, and who's eager to put automation and AI to work streamlining reconciliations, reporting, and the rest of the revenue stack.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• You will own the order to cash process, from order creation through invoicing, collections, and cash application, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to contractual terms.

WHO YOU ARE

A detail-oriented, curious accountant who's excited to continue building deep expertise in order to cash operations and revenue accounting, and who takes ownership of their work end to end.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 5- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including billing, accounts receivable, and revenue accounting at a high-growth SaaS company
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
• Experience building and utilizing automations for process improvement
• Track record of building accounting processes and systems, with a clear vision of the end goal and how to get there
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning longer-term projects on top of day to day tasks
• Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with cross-functional teams
• Experience with NetSuite and modern billing and collections systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for reconciliations and analysis

Nice to have

• CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure
• Public Accounting experience
• Exposure to technical accounting topics such as capitalized commissions, internal-use software, or lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Experience supporting a financial statement audit
