Revenue Management Specialist - RN - Days

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a very supportive and energetic Manager, utilize your medical knowledge to provide concurrent or retrospective clinical information required for reimbursement.
• Manage denials from third party payers within required timeframes.
• Focus on reviewing medical necessity based off of authorization from precertification.
• Monitor all incoming correspondence and end of day reports to insure accuracy and authorizations.
• Play an integral part of the hospital wide 2-Midnight Stay initiative.
• All one and two day stays are reviewed for appropriate setting and converted accordingly.

Preferred Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience in case management or acute care
• Experience with EMR systems or EPIC

Required Criteria

• New York State License as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience or denial management experience

Salary Range

Salary Range: $126,000-$167,500/Annual
