Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a skilled ORM support professional in Des Moines, IA to assist the ISS Order and Revenue Management team. The role emphasizes accurate order entry in SAP, SOX compliance, and collaboration with Finance to ensure proper revenue recognition.

You will verify orders, manage change orders, support tax accounting, and help resolve issues to keep cash flow efficient while upholding accounting policies and controls.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in an accounting department or customer service.
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or 5 years of equivalent post-secondary experience in Business, Administration or related field
• Sales and use tax experience and knowledge is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of SAP preferred
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter who can work independently and execute projects effectively
• Ability to effectively identify issues, propose solutions and communicate effectively up the chain of command.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify customer purchase order information prior to creating sales orders in SAP.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Validate and enter orders timely into SAP and manage any associated change orders.
• Support the sales and use tax accounting treatment in support of the Segment S&U tax team.
• Obtain and maintain customer exemption certificates.
• Help the sales tax team to resolve any issues and prepare for sales and use tax audits.
• Manage all aspects of post shipment activity including shipment verification of materials, damages, incomplete services and claims (including freight).
• Coordinate the Accounts Receivable process by ensuring accurate order entry, billing readiness, invoice corrections, credit memo processing, dispute resolution, and coordination with Collections to remove payment barriers and drive timely cash collection.
• Partner closely with Finance and Technical Accounting to support Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) processes by ensuring order, contract, and billing data are complete, accurate, and properly aligned to revenue recognition requirements.
• Assist Finance and Technical Accounting with reconciliation activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue.
