Job summary

Inova Health System in Virginia is seeking a Revenue Integrity PB Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on accurate charge capture and reconciliation across service lines, with collaboration across HIM, CDI and PFS to ensure compliant billing.

The ideal candidate brings five years of coding or billing experience and relevant credentials, plus strong analytical skills to reduce revenue leakage and improve documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a healthcare or finance field is required.
• Five years of experience in coding or billing is required.
• Credentials: RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC/CPC-H or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and compliant charge capture and reconciliation.
• Analyze charge review findings and improve documentation and charging flow.
• Review denials and educate teams on opportunities to reduce leakage.
• Verify CPT/HCPCS codes, modifiers, and diagnoses against records.
• Collaborate with HIM, CDI, and PFS to resolve charging issues.
• Monitor KPIs and support process improvements in the revenue cycle.
