Job Description - Revenue Integrity Educator III (861582)

Job Summary

The Revenue Integrity Educator III supports revenue cycle management by researching coding, documentation, and reimbursement inquiries, ensuring compliance with payer and government regulations, and optimizing reimbursement. Responsibilities include conducting quality assurance reviews, providing education to new providers and clinical departments, and performing billing compliance reviews. This role also involves developing training materials, leading projects independently, and supporting billing integrity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead billing integrity projects across service lines, including audits and report reviews, with minimal supervision.
2. Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing training for new providers on coding and billing compliance.
3. Review medical documentation to ensure support for billing codes and develop action plans for identified risks.
4. Research policy questions and prepare responses to ensure compliance and reimbursement optimization.
5. Support and conduct billing compliance audits and provide education based on findings.
6. Complete charge reviews within department standards and monitor queues for timely resolution.
7. Train staff on audit software, EPIC, and other tools as needed.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule and Location

• Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Details to be discussed during the interview.
• This is a WFH opportunity; candidates must reside in Texas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a professional billing environment with emphasis on coding, auditing, and compliance.
• Certifications such as CPC, CCS, CMC, or CPMA upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• RN license upon hire.
