JOB SUMMARY
  1. Revenue Cycle Management Support: Research coding, documentation, and reimbursement inquiries from physicians and clinical departments to ensure compliance and optimal reimbursement. Prepare responses, conduct quality assurance reviews, and monitor team queues for timely resolution.
  2. New Provider Education: Conduct standardized onboarding education for new providers across various specialties, perform pre-bill reviews, and develop training materials to ensure accurate coding and documentation practices.
  3. Clinical Department Education: Develop and deliver presentations on coding, billing compliance, and audit findings, including case studies and practical examples.
  4. Billing Compliance Reviews: Conduct independent reviews of medical record documentation to support billing accuracy, develop solutions for compliance risks, and lead billing integrity projects with minimal supervision.
  5. Additional Responsibilities: These include participating in quality improvement initiatives, developing training programs, and supporting audits and education efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 years of experience in a professional billing environment with emphasis on coding, auditing, and compliance
  • Certifications such as CPC, CCS, CMC, or CPMA upon hire

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • RN license upon hire
JOB DUTIES
  • Lead billing integrity projects, develop and deliver training, conduct post-onboarding reviews, and perform medical record audits to ensure compliance and optimize reimbursement.
  • Research coding and reimbursement policies, support audits, and provide education to staff and providers.
  • Support and conduct billing compliance audits, develop action plans, and monitor improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
