Job summary

LifeStance Health is seeking a Revenue Integrity Coordinator to support the National RCM Strategy team in reviewing claims for reimbursement. The role is fully remote and you will work within a national organization to ensure accurate processing of patient accounts.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in medical billing, preferably in Behavioral Health, with knowledge of CPT/ modifiers, HIPAA rules, and EMR systems such as AdvancedMD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of medical billing experience.
• 2+ years in Behavioral Health/Mental Health space preferred.
• Experience with an electronic medical/health record system, AdvancedMD preferred.
• Understanding of EAP and Behavioral Health carve-out plans.
• Understanding CPT, modifiers and how they affect reimbursement.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations.
• Demonstrates inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Claim level responsibilities identified after national trend.
• Maintain up-to-date information on billing practices for payers.
• Submit corrected claims to payers for reconsideration.
• Possibly perform posting review or resubmission of claims.
• Verify patient demographic information related to insurance status and COB.
• Review ERAs and understand charges, allowable amounts and reimbursements.

Job Summary

The Revenue Integrity Coordinator assists the National RCM Strategy team with accurate, detailed, and thorough review of claims billed to payers/insurance companies for reimbursement. Working in coordination with the Billing leadership team, utilize billing knowledge to ensure the timely and accurate processing of patient accounts. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a strong desire to work individually while meeting the needs of a national organization. An important key requirement is the self-accountability to drive success in a virtual team environment. This position is fully remote and can be performed anywhere within the United States.

Compensation :

$20.00- $24.00 Hourly with potential bonus

Responsibilities:

• Claim level responsibilities are performed after a national trend has been identified and root caused
• Maintain current information on correct and lawful practices for billing payers
• Claim level actions to submit corrected claims to payer(s) for reconsideration
• May include some posting review or actions to resubmit claims to a payer
• Verify patient demographic information as it related to status of patient's insurance as well as COB
• Review of ERA's received and understanding of charges, expected allowable and actual allowable

Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent requir ed
• 1+ year of experience in a medical billing role
• 2+ years Behavioral Health/Mental Health space preferably
• Previous experience with an electronic medical/health record, preferably A dvancedMD
• Understanding of EAP and Behavioral Health carve out plans
• Understanding of CPT, modifiers, Mental Health provider types and how each impact reimbursement
• Understanding of associated privacy legislation related to healthcare information, i.e., HIPAA
• Strong attention to detail
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
