Job summary

Guthrie in the United States is seeking a Reimbursement Coordinator to review clinical documentation and accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers. You will code multispecialty services and collaborate with providers, managers, and the CBO to support compliant reimbursement.

This full-time day-shift role offers advancement in healthcare billing knowledge and opportunities to improve processes while maintaining patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Degree in Health Information Technology or RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC certification desirable; CPC required within 18 months of date of hire.
• Proficient knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer coding and billing regulations; CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manually code provider services by reviewing clinical documentation to assign CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers.
• Work coding edits daily to ensure accurate revenue capture.
• Perform financial reimbursement assessments and provide recommendations to providers and leadership.
• Communicate audit results and coding/documentation findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of payer regulations and third-party guidelines.
• Assist with special audits to analyze billing activity as needed.
• Ensure claims are submitted accurately to payers.
