Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Auditing or related field from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree or relevant Certification is preferred.
• Proficient in SAP, PeopleSoft, or Hyperion.
• Extensive experience as an accountant/analyst or in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and monitors fuel energy transactions, reports, and activity to ensure transactions are properly recorded and reported.
• Prepares accounting entries for ERCOT payables and receivables, miscellaneous receivables, and various revenue accounts.
• Prepares the monthly retail Bad Debt Allowance Expense and receivable aging reports.
• Performs complex statistical/variance/trend analysis on accounts/reports.
• Performs numerous account reconciliations and roll forwards, some highly complex.
• Prepares and analyzes financial statements and related schedules and analyzes variances.
• Prepare various internal and external reports related to retail and wholesale revenues and expenses.
• Performs accounting research and documents findings with white papers.
• Prepares hurricane mutual aid and TxDOT invoice billings and coordinates billing/collection projects.
• Delivers presentations and data to upper management and responds to questions.
