Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to perform detailed forensic analysis of hospital claims data, identifying opportunities to improve revenue and cash flow.

You will excel in underpayment detection, revenue recovery, managed care contracting, and contract compliance while leveraging Excel and Access to drive gainsharing initiatives and physician/hospital collaboration. You will review contracts and data to uncover reimbursement gaps, pursue underpayments with payors, and support

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in healthcare roles (billing/coding/tech)
• 1+ years' experience in Physician Billing or Revenue Cycle
• Intermediate Excel knowledge

Responsibilities

• Review physician-managed care contracts to determine expected reimbursement.
• Analyze physician claims data to identify underpayment trends and billing errors.
• Pursue underpayments with third-party payors via correspondence, payer portals, and phone calls.
• Collaborate with medical group clients to obtain data for pursuing underpayments or correcting billing errors.
• Run reports and queries in Excel and Access
