R1 RCM Inc. is seeking an Underpayments Analyst to validate hospital accounts, identify additional revenue opportunities, and ensure accurate reimbursements. You will diagnose underpayments, document findings to support appeals, and collaborate with support teams to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes data analysis, process improvement, and meeting production benchmarks. A Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with 2+ years in hospital billing or data analytics is required, with 1 week onsite training

• Strong communication, math, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with computers and technology.

Responsibilities

• Review opportunities, evaluate reimbursement, decide if pursuit with payer is warranted and actions to resolve underpayment.
• Document accounts to support appeals and resolution efforts.
• Diagnose how underpayments occurred and what could have prevented them for the client.
• Meet required production, accuracy, and efficiency benchmarks.
