Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Operations Specialist to perform a broad range of medical billing functions across the enterprise, including registration, coverage, and eligibility edits and denials for both Professional and Hospital Billing.

You will post manual adjustments, resolve external clearinghouse edits, participate in monthly physician-group calls, mentor staff, and analyze denial trends to improve revenue and reduce errors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Billing Certification preferred for Epic Resolute Professional/Hospital Billing.
• 3 years of registration billing and denial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper resolution of registration, coverage, and eligibility issues within Epic billing work queues.
• Resolve external clearinghouse edits and payor rejections.
• Mentor and train new and existing AR staff in registration workflows.
• Attend monthly physician group conference calls to provide operational billing support.
• Analyze disputed self-pay balances for complex billing scenarios escalated by Customer Service.
