Qualifications

• Proficient in Office applications (Excel, Word, Sheets) and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Contacts insurance carriers to facilitate payments and review underpayments/denials.
• Investigates patient inquiries and disputes; collaborates with departments to resolve issues.
• Assists self-pay follow up with financial assistance, payment plans, and refund processing.
• Reviews payer bulletins to stay updated on policies and regulatory changes.
• Updates account information and rebills as needed to move billing cycles forward.
• Responds to calls, emails, and faxes regarding patient billing in a timely, professional manner.
