Physicians' Group Laboratories in Houma, LA is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. You will review charges, verify codes, ensure proper documentation, and submit clean claims to protect timely payment.

This on-site role emphasizes accuracy, payer rules, and collaboration with client services to resolve discrepancies. A background in CPT/ICD-10, billing systems, and familiarity with CollaborateMD is preferred.

Formación

• 1+ year of medical billing, claims processing, or charge entry experience.
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, and payer requirements.
• Experience with a practice management or billing system and a claims clearinghouse.
• Preferred experience in clinical laboratory billing, NCDs/LCDs, ABNs, and NCCI edits.

Responsabilidades

• Review charges against orders and documentation for accuracy.
• Verify CPT/HCPCS codes match tests ordered and ICD-10 codes from the ordering provider.
• Check insurance eligibility and required authorizations; hold and correct when needed.
• Submit clean claims through CollaborateMD within timelines.
• Work front-end rejections daily and resubmit corrected data.
• Maintain productivity with high first-pass accuracy.
• Document holds and corrections for audit readiness.
