Job summary

Shorelineortho is seeking a Payment Posting Specialist to support the revenue cycle by accurately posting insurance and patient payments and reconciling deposits. You will resolve denials, manage adjustments, and ensure timely posting while upholding patient confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities include handling patient inquiries, communicating with providers and insurers, and supporting refunds and account resolution processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in medical billing or revenue cycle preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and EOBs.
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Answer billing-related calls and assist patients with inquiries.
• Collaborate with billing team to resolve denials and discrepancies.
• Maintain communication with patients, providers, and insurers.
• Post insurance and patient payments within established timelines.
• Process adjustments, write-offs, and recoupments as needed.
• Reconcile daily cash postings and deposits for accuracy.
• Review refunds and process via checks or cards.
• Support audits, reporting, and HIPAA compliance.
