Schedule

Fully Remote

Compensation

About The Role

The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee the teams supporting assigned healthcare accounts and ensure all aspects of the revenue cycle process are handled accurately, efficiently, and according to client expectations. This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced medical billing or RCM professional who understands the full revenue cycle, can lead and develop a team, and is comfortable communicating directly with physicians and healthcare clients. The Manager will oversee approximately 10 team members across two client accounts, serving as the primary operational leader for those accounts. This individual will monitor performance, identify issues, ensure work is completed accurately and on time, and provide direction and training to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of approximately 10 RCM team members supporting two healthcare client accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned physicians and healthcare clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and client stakeholders.
  • Monitor account performance and ensure client expectations, deadlines, and service-level requirements are consistently met.
  • Review billing and revenue cycle activity to identify errors, inconsistencies, outstanding issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure team members follow established processes and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Review account workflows and recommend improvements to efficiency and overall performance.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to assigned team members.
  • Train new employees and assist with onboarding additional team members as account needs grow.
  • Delegate responsibilities and ensure appropriate coverage across assigned accounts.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and overall team performance.
  • Troubleshoot escalated account issues and work with internal teams to resolve problems quickly.
  • Communicate account updates, challenges, and opportunities to leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication between healthcare clients and internal RCM teams.
  • Identify potential revenue leakage, billing issues, or process gaps and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Help establish and implement consistent processes as the organization continues to scale.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of medical billing, revenue cycle management, and healthcare reimbursement processes.
  • Perform regular quality checks and audits of account activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience within revenue cycle management, medical billing, healthcare billing, or a similar organization.
  • Previous experience managing or leading an RCM or medical billing team.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, including medical billing, claims, A/R, denials, and reimbursement processes.
  • Experience working directly with physicians, healthcare providers, or medical practice leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable reviewing work, identifying errors, and holding team members accountable for quality and productivity.
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop team members.
  • Comfortable working in a growing organization where processes and responsibilities may continue to evolve.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant medical billing/RCM software and systems.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced RCM professional who has progressed into a team leadership or management role. This person should be comfortable getting into the details of an account rather than simply managing from a distance. You will be successful in this role if you can lead a team, understand the numbers and workflow, communicate confidently with physicians, identify problems, and make sure things get done correctly. This is an excellent opportunity for an RCM professional who wants to take ownership of client accounts and play a key role in building the structure and processes of a growing organization.
