HonorVet Technologies is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Program Director/Manager in Raleigh, NC, for a 6+ month engagement. The role leads end-to-end revenue cycle operations across facilities, overseeing patient access, HIM, coding, billing, A/R, denials, and collections.

You will drive strategies to optimize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve cash flow while leading a multi-tiered team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with full healthcare revenue cycle operations (patient access, HIM/coding, billing, A/R, denials).
  • 5+ years of experience with Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Medicare, and commercial payer reimbursement.
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise revenue cycle teams.
  • 5+ years of experience managing revenue cycle KPIs (A/R days, denial rate, clean claims, net collections).
  • 5+ years of experience with CMS, HIPAA, state regulations, and payer policies.
  • 5+ years of experience with Epic revenue cycle systems, including Prelude, Cadence, and Resolute HB/PB, and workflow governance.
  • 5+ years of experience in executive-level communication and presentation.
  • 5+ years of experience with revenue cycle operations within behavioral health, psychiatric care, developmental disabilities, and/or state-operated facilities.

Responsibilities

Job Summary
We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Program Director/Manager to provide leadership and strategic direction for end-to-end revenue cycle operations across healthcare facilities. This role will oversee patient access, health information management, coding, billing, accounts receivable, payer management, and collections.
The RCM Program Director/Manager will develop and execute strategies to optimize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, minimize denials, and improve cash flow while leading a multi-tiered team of managers and specialized staff.
The Director/Manager will partner with senior leadership, state agencies, payer organizations, Finance, Clinical Operations, IT, and Compliance teams to align revenue cycle operations with organizational financial and compliance objectives. The role will oversee key performance metrics and reporting, manage complex Medicaid/Medicare billing requirements, ensure audit readiness, and lead technology optimization within Epic and related systems.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for full healthcare revenue cycle operations, including patient access, HIM/coding, billing, A/R, denials, and collections.
  • Develop and execute revenue cycle strategies aligned with financial, operational, and compliance objectives.
  • Lead enterprise-level revenue cycle teams, including managers and specialized staff.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as A/R days, denial rates, clean claims, and net collections.
  • Oversee Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Medicare, and commercial payer reimbursement requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, state regulations, and payer policies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks.
  • Lead workflow governance and optimization across Epic revenue cycle systems, including Prelude, Cadence, and Resolute HB/PB.
  • Drive technology optimization, analytics, automation, and reporting initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance, Clinical Operations, IT, Compliance, senior leadership, and payer organizations.
  • Present complex financial, operational, and regulatory information to executive leadership.
  • Evaluate financial trends, forecast cash, assess reimbursement risks, and drive revenue cycle improvements.
  • Lead organizational change, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Address revenue cycle requirements specific to behavioral health, psychiatric care, developmental disabilities, and state-operated healthcare facilities.
