Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, credentialing, or revenue cycle operations.
• Experience with Medicaid, MCOs, and commercial payer billing preferred.
• Experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment processes preferred.
• Experience with EMR, billing systems, and clearinghouses.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit claims to Medicaid, MCOs, commercial payers and other payers.
• Enter charges, review CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes, and ensure proper claim setup.
• Post payments and denials; reconcile against logs.
• Perform accounts receivable follow-up on outstanding claims.
• Analyze denials and submit corrections, resubmissions, and appeals as needed.
• Verify benefits, authorizations, and eligibility across levels of care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure services are documented and billable.
• Assist with monthly close activities and revenue reporting.
• Support payer audits and compliance reviews as needed.
