Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required; CRCR certification preferred.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3+ years interpreting payer contracts in a healthcare setting.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3+ years hospital/professional reimbursement and billing compliance.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3+ years developing and maintaining third party payer relationships.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3+ years knowledge of PFS processes for claim generation and audits.
• REQUIRED SKILLS: Proficiency with Windows PCs, EMR/billing systems (Epic preferred), and payer rules.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely/resolution of billing and reimbursement issues and collections.
• Collaborate with third party payers to pursue prompt payment of professional claims.
• Post patient and insurer payments accurately; run regular auditing and reconciliations.
• Review patient encounters to ensure correct charges and initiate claim submissions.
• Determine final claim status for write-offs, collections, or refunds.
