Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services, a leading infusion therapy provider in Dallas, TX, seeks an Authorization Coordinator to initiate and manage prior authorizations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. You will minimize denial rates and improve collections while collaborating with franchise partners and payers.

The role requires two years’ intake/authorization experience in home infusion, excellent English communication, and proficiency with pharmacy systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to interact with payers, franchise partners, and staff.
• Proven understanding of billing, authorization review, and collection processes.
• Strong organizational skills with precise documentation and tracking of activities.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy to submit authorizations timely.
• Communicate status with franchise partners, payers, and internal departments.
• Document activity and correspondence in the system and schedule follow-ups.
• Investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy and medical third-party claims.
• Obtain reauthorizations and follow up with carriers as needed.
• Track issues to avoid delays and maintain patient access to therapy.
• Explain therapy costs to patients before service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
