Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is seeking an Authorization Specialist to initiate and manage prior authorizations with accuracy and timeliness. You will work with franchise partners, payers, and internal teams to optimize reimbursement and reduce denial rates, while ensuring compliant credentialing and contract applications.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years of intake/authorization experience in home infusion, strong English communication, and proficient use of MS Office and pharmacy

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in intake/authorizations and home infusion therapy is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work with payers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness to ensure timely prior authorizations.
• Communicate status with franchise partners, payers, and internal departments.
• Document activity and correspondence to ensure accuracy of account actions.
• Obtain reauthorizations and follow up to provide required information to carriers.
• Track and report service issues delaying authorizations to avoid therapy interruptions.
• Explain therapy costs to patients before service starts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
