Job summary

Bally's Corporation is seeking a Revenue Accounting support role in Rhode Island to enter daily audit data, prepare journal entries, and reconcile accounts while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED (some accounting coursework preferred), strong numerical and Excel skills, and excellent communication and analytical abilities. Auditing experience is a plus; state licensing eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college accounting preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain Rhode Island Gaming License (preferred).
  • Strong numerical and data analysis skills; proficient in spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical abilities; audits experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enter daily information into revenue audit report forms and run back-up reports.
  • Prepare journal entries, track coupons, and record complimentary receipts.
  • Reconcile accounts regularly and monitor revenue accounting controls.
  • Assist with compliance of laws, rules and gaming regulations within Revenue Accounting.
  • Evaluate situations and determine best handling in revenue audits.
  • Attend departmental meetings and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain regular attendance and perform related duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Enter daily information into revenue audit report forms and run back-up reports
  • Prepare journal entries, track coupons used on property, sort and record complimentary receipts
  • Reconcile accounts on a regular basis
  • Assist with the monitoring of all financial activities on property with respect to revenue accounting to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the company, and any applicable commissions (e.g., Federal and State Tax Commissions, Gaming Commission) are enforced throughout the Revenue Accounting operations of the Finance department
  • Evaluate various situations with respect to revenue audits and determine how best to handle same
  • Ensure a maximum level of company-wide service and satisfaction in the area of revenue accounting is achieved and maintained
  • Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Working Conditions

  • Operation of various machines and equipment including but not limited to shredders, copiers, laminating and binding machines, audio visual equipment

Target Hourly Range: ($20.00)

Qualifications
  • Must be able to obtain Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation Gaming License (preferred)
  • Occasionally reach with hands and arms, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (preferred)
  • Constantly requires specific vision abilities of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus (preferred)
  • Constantly talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger; handle or feeling objects, tools, or controls (preferred)
  • Previous gaming audit experience is a plus (preferred)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions (preferred)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals (preferred)
  • Ability to apply common sense in understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form (preferred)
  • Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills; experience with audits preferred; must be extremely numbers oriented and computer literate with superior spreadsheet skills. Proficiency in Excel software is highly preferred (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college courses in accounting or related area preferred (preferred)
