Job summary

Prairie Band Casino & Resort in Mayetta, KS seeks a Finance Clerk to perform daily revenue audits, cash summaries, journals, and related reports for management. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with base pay of $16.90–$20.71 per hour.

Onboarding includes a $750 hiring bonus plus $50 gas gift cards; night shift pay adds $1/hour. Benefits cover medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience using Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
• Proficient keyboarding and 10-key adding machine skills.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (PC, copier, fax).
• Basic mathematical proficiency; flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays/overtime.
• Maintain professional appearance as per handbook; work independently or in a team; read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with affiliated departments on variances, statistics, and policy exceptions.
• Audits paperwork for accuracy, signatures, timelines, and regulatory compliance.
• Reports exceptions as required by gaming regulations and state compact.
• Prepares spreadsheets with financial information.
• Maintains multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

$750 Hiring Bonus for new Team Members plus $50 in gas gift cards during our onboarding process. Additional $1 per hour for hours worked from 6pm to 6am!

Perform daily property revenue audits, cash summaries, journals for entry and related revenue reports for management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Communicates both written and orally with affiliated departments on variances, statistics, and exceptions to policy and procedures
• Audits all paperwork for accuracy, signatures, and timelines, and compliance with internal controls and Tribal Gaming regulations
• Reports exceptions as required by Tribal gaming regulations and State Gaming compact
• Prepares various spreadsheets regarding financial information
• Maintains multiple projects while meeting varying deadlines
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year experience using Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel
• Proficient keyboarding and 10 key adding machine skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment to include personal computer, copy machine and fax machine
• Basic mathematic proficiency
• Available to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Maintain professional appearance standards as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Preferred

• Associates degree or Business school degree with emphasis in accounting
• 1 year prior experience in casino industry and accounting experience
• 6 months previous administrative experience
