Grand Casino Mille Lacs & Hinckley is seeking a Revenue Auditor to add value to our Revenue Accounting operations by applying a systematic approach to the daily audit process. The role supports accurate financial reporting and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify balances, entries, calculations, and postings by internal associates.

Summary

In this role we will look to you to add value and improve our Revenue Accounting operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the daily audit process.

Essential Duties Of The Position

• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate all daily accounting documentation from all revenue streams.
• Prepare and present reports that reflect the daily audit’s results and document process.
• Reconciles all coupons and complimentary receipts. Processes appropriate debits or credits to accounts.
• Reconciles General Ledger Revenue accounts on a regular basis.
• Audits records for accuracy of transactions and reconciles or notes discrepancies. Informs management of all discrepancies.
• Verifies balances and entries, calculations, and postings recorded by internal Associates.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year accounting experience or post-secondary Accounting Diploma and/or one (1) year combined education/experience in accounting preferred.

Special Qualifications

• Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
• Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Mathematical Skills

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability

• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.

Physical Demands

• Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
• See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
• Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.
