Qualifications

• Proven written and verbal communication skills to educate taxpayers and prepare clear summaries and responses.
• Demonstrated ability to independently research, analyze, and evaluate financial information to determine tax liability and repayment options.
• Progressive experience using investigative tools to locate individuals and assets for compliance actions.
• Ability to interpret and apply state tax laws, rules, and policies in resolving issues and educating taxpayers.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and locates delinquent taxpayers using databases, internet, and third-party sources.
• Takes collection action against non-compliant taxpayers, including warrants, garnishments, and business registration revocation.
• Conducts fieldwork and investigations at taxpayer locations, job sites, and residences.
• Maintains accurate case histories and taxpayer interaction records in agency systems.
• Assists taxpayers with business registrations, tax returns, and inter-agency communications.
