Job summary

PTC Inc. is seeking a Revenue Accounting Director in Boston, MA (Hybrid) to lead the revenue accounting function within Global Revenue Assurance.

The role blends technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to scale a global software business and ensure ASC 606 compliance across revenue streams. The ideal candidate has deep SaaS/Software revenue knowledge, strong business acumen, and experience guiding complex initiatives with Finance, GTM, Legal, Product, and Revenue Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 8+ years of experience in public accounting and/or revenue accounting.
• Experience with ASC606 and revenue recognition in a software, SaaS, or subscription-based business model.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue recognition matters, providing guidance on complex transactions.
• Draft technical accounting memos, position papers, and analyses related to revenue recognition matters.
• Review and assess the accounting implications of new product offerings, pricing models, and deals.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations to evaluate revenue recognition considerations.
• Translate technical accounting requirements into practical guidance for business decisions.
