Job summary

SpaceX is hiring an Accountant, Revenue in Hawthorne, CA to support revenue accounting for Starlink. The role focuses on revenue analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal/external reporting in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of accounting, a relevant degree, and experience with Excel, SQL, D365, and Power BI. Onsite work is required in Hawthorne, CA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• CPA license or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with subscription-based technology companies and ASC 606 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calculate, analyze, and report revenue for Starlink, SpaceX’s global internet business.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Perform accounting analyses on new product initiatives to ensure correct accounting per US GAAP.
• Drive order-to-cash process improvements and automation initiatives for revenue systems.
• Cross-functionally understand operations and business results within assigned areas.
• Maintain high-quality work to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Support annual financial statement audits and revenue-related projects as needed.
