Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sr. Accountant (LATAM) to support Latin America operations in multinational environments. You will participate in the monthly close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions to ensure timely reporting for Starlink subsidiaries.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English, a bachelor’s degree, and 4+ years of accounting experience. Experience with US GAAP/IFRS, ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365), and strong Excel skills are preferred.

• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS or other local accounting standards.
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365 or other ERP accounting systems.
• Ability to analyze high volumes of transactions and data; SQL experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Latin America operations in multinational environments.
• Participate in the accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly accounting financial information for Starlink subsidiaries.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserves, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency conversions as required to support Starlink.
• Coordinate international statutory filings, bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP and regulatory needs including VAT/GST and tax refunds/credits.
• Manage complex accounting reconciliations and deliver accurate financial information under tight deadlines.
• Deal with tax compliance, transfer pricing documentation, and e-invoicing across LATAM.
• Improve processes and reporting; assist with standardization efforts.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and interact with auditors.
• Participate in special projects as requested.
