Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our team. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining ASC 606 compliance, and providing financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of revenue accounting principles, contract review experience, and excellent communication skills. This remote position is open to candidates in the US or Canada, excluding specific states and cities.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply ASC 606 principles to analyze customer contracts for revenue recognition.
• Assist with audit findings and recommendations.
• Perform revenue calculations, including allocation and recognition over time.
• Review contracts for revenue-related terms and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with sales, legal, and other teams for contract accuracy.
• Conduct revenue reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closes.
• Identify process improvements in revenue recognition and close processes.
• Embed Samsara’s cultural principles into daily work and team interactions.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 or IFRS.
• Experience with contract review and analysis.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• CPA or pursuit of CPA certification.
• Experience working under deadlines and compliance standards.
• Fast learner with a proactive attitude.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Critical thinking and scalable process implementation skills.

Additional Information
