Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking an Accountant to join its revenue accounting team in Springfield, Missouri. You will support core revenue accounting processes for our global online vacation rental business, gaining expertise in revenue recognition, financial systems, data analysis, and process improvement within a technology-driven travel company.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will work with Sales, FP&A, Product Management, Legal, Tax, and technology teams to address accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Up to three years of accounting experience, including internships or relevant financial reporting.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including reconciliations, journal entries, and close activities.
• Experience reviewing transactional data, investigating variances, or analyzing financial information.
• Proficient Excel skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and cash.
• Assist with applying revenue recognition policies under U.S. GAAP and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting questions and resolve variances.
• Support SOX controls, documentation, and audit-ready support.
