ZincFive seeks a Revenue Accountant to establish best-in-class revenue recognition processes and serve as the SME on ASC 606. You will partner with accounting, finance, sales, and operations to review contracts, support complex revenue transactions, and deliver timely reporting.

The role supports revenue close, internal controls, and process improvements, with a hybrid setup based at ZincFive headquarters in Tualatin, OR.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue accounting principles, and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 by analyzing contracts, identifying performance obligations, determining transaction prices, and allocating revenue.
• Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for revenue-related accounts.
• Reconcile billing systems and AR subledgers to the GL; investigate variances.
• Prepare revenue, gross margin, and variance analyses with drivers and reconciliations to bookings/forecasts.
• Collaborate with FP&A on revenue forecasts for complex transactions and planning.
• Support billing and collections for invoicing, credits, returns, and refunds.
• Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over revenue processes; document policies and assist audits.
• Identify and lead process automation/improvement in ERP, billing, and revenue processes.
• Prepare revenue-related KPIs and ad hoc analyses for decision-making.
• Research and apply technical accounting guidance for revenue recognition on new products/pricing.
