Job summary

Brivo is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to lead our revenue recognition function in Austin. You will own ASC 606 compliance for hardware/software revenue models and support international transactions and public company reporting requirements.

The role requires hands-on accounting expertise, a solid background in cross-border revenue, and the ability to partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations to optimize deals and close processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct revenue accounting experience in hardware and/or software industries.
• Expertise in ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
• Experience with international entity structures and multi-currency accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Revenue Recognition: Manage end-to-end revenue accounting processes in compliance with ASC 606, including contract reviews, performance obligation assessments, and transaction price allocations.
• Complex Deal Desk Support: Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations to review non-standard contract terms, evaluate revenue impact, and structure deals effectively.
• International & Public Accounting: Support global revenue processes, cross-border multi-currency transactions, and assist with public company readiness, SEC disclosures, and audit support.
• Financial Close: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process, including posting journal entries, preparing revenue reconciliations, and analyzing deferred revenue.
• Process Improvement: Enhance internal controls (SOX compliance) and automate revenue tools to scale accounting operations efficiently.
