Job summary

The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, invites applications for a full-time ReUse Operations Manager within Campus Operations. The role redeploys usable goods to departments and leads resale efforts, auctions, and online sales, supporting waste reduction and facilities management.

You will develop programs, oversee inventory controls, supervise student staff, build university partnerships, and perform related duties including football-game coverage and waste audit activities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus at least six years of experience.
• Two years of experience in surplus/ retail program development and/or environmental education within an institutional setting such as a college, university, city or corporate campus.
• A valid drivers license
• Strong customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Program development and partnerships; administers RSIMS and new point-of-sale software; develops SOPs and manages pack & give back, summer storage, and e-waste destruction and resale.
• Operations management: implements inventory controls, establishes receiving protocols and pricing benchmarks, and tracks material weights, categories and valuations in the Access database.
• Train and supervise full-time and student employees; provide training on waste reduction and ReUse operations.
• Build internal networks with university units and ISO; promote ReUse strategies and support recycling and waste prevention.
• Other duties including coverage during vacations, tailgate support, and waste audit activities.
