Job summary

The Child and Family Guidance Center in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a full-time Clinician for the Reunification and Therapeutic Family Time program. The clinician will facilitate reunification by delivering intensive support, education, and services across three core types: Reunification Readiness, Reunification Services, and Therapeutic Family Time.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field.
• Must have valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience working with children with emotional and behavioral problems and their families: 2 years (Required).
• Knowledge of child abuse and neglect statutes preferred.
• Ability to work with families of all races with cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Therapeutic Family Time/Family Time Services to assigned families.
• Review safety concerns and risk factors impacting child safety with the family and DCF.
• Observe family interactions and assess family functioning and parental motivation to change.
• Implement the Visit Coaching Model.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with substitute caregivers and other providers.
