Job summary

Rocky Brands Career Opportunities in Ohio Logan is seeking a Returns Inspector to receive, inspect, and determine first quality goods vs. defective goods within a fast-paced distribution center.

You will work with the warehouse team to verify SKUs, assist in quality inspections, and ensure accurate labeling and return processing in a safety-conscious environment. This role requires adaptability to a warehouse setting and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 6–12 months of related experience.
• 6–12 months of Distribution Center or similar work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and low lighting.
• Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
• Good eye/hand coordination and depth perception.
• Willingness to be trained on material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods onto or off racks, pallets, skids and trucks.
• Use the warehouse management system to locate, scan and relocate inventory.
• Read SKU labels and sizing tags; verify SKUs and sizes by scanning product.
• Communicate any missing or incorrect shoes.
• Apply labeling and tagging to individual units for return to stock.
• Receive incorrect merchandise using the RA/RMA number.
• Assist in quality inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods onto or off racks, pallets, skids and trucks.
• Use the warehouse management system to locate, scan and relocate inventory.
• Read Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) labels and sizing tags.
• Verify all SKUs and sizes are correct by scanning product.
• Communicate any missing or incorrect shoes.
• Apply labeling and tagging to individual units for return to stock.
• Receive incorrect merchandise using the Return Authorization (RA) / Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
• Assist in quality inspections.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Distribution Center: This position operates within a fast-paced distribution center environment. Work is performed around conveyor systems, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Noise levels range from moderate to loud depending on operational activity. Employees may work in areas with concrete floors, high traffic zones, and variable lighting. Temperatures may fluctuate based on seasonal weather and warehouse ventilation. Work may occur in shipping/receiving dock areas where outdoor conditions can impact airflow and temperature. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility, including navigating between aisles, racks, and storage locations. Employees are expected to maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
