Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a warehouse returns inspector to examine returned products, sort items by temperature zones, and prepare pallets for putaway.

The role requires adherence to food safety standards, ability to operate tuggers and forklifts, and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Training across returns team areas is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English (read, write, and speak).
• Must be flexible and willing to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be willing to cross-train and help in other areas of the returns team.
• Must be able to work in temperature-controlled zones (-5 F to ambient).

Responsibilities

• Inspect returned products and sort into categories for distribution.
• Adhere to corporate standards for food quality and safety.
• Report accidents, injuries, malfunctions, and safety issues immediately.
• Sort products by temp zone and warehouse areas.
• Wrap and transport pallets to correct putaway destinations.
• Coordinate activities with credit returns personnel.
• Operate tuggers, forklifts, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Attend to other duties to meet business needs.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

The starting wage for this position will be: $20/HR

Full-Time: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday | Tuesday & Sunday Off

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday | Thursday & Sunday Off

Day Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Night Shift: 12:00 PM-8:30 PM

Summary

This position is responsible for inspecting returned products, sorting items or materials into categories for distribution into the warehouse. Adhere to and comply with corporate standards and procedures in handling returns to maintain the high standards of our food quality and safety.

Essential Duties

• Reporting any accidents, injuries, malfunctions on equipment, and safety issues and/or unsafe practices immediately to a supervisor.
• Sorting products by temp zone and areas of the warehouse in an organized manner.
• Wrapping and transporting pallets through the warehouse to the correct putaway destination.
• Coordinating activities with credit returns personnel.
• Operating tuggers, fork-lifts, and pallet jacks as necessary to complete job function.
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluency in English; speak, read, and write.
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which are subject to overnights shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be flexible and willing to cross train and help with other areas in the returns team as needed.
• Must be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from -5 F to ambient temperature.
