Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Loan Consulting Manager within Plan Administration & Implementation (PAI) to lead IRC 72(p) related tasks, consult with plan sponsors, and coordinate with internal partners for timely resolutions.

The role requires 5+ years in retirement plan administration, strong communication, and the ability to drive process improvements while collaborating across teams. A formal ASPPA designation is preferred and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of qualified retirement plan administration experience (ASPPA designation preferred).
• Experience with loan corrections and coordination with payroll providers or internal HRIS systems to maintain IRC 72(p) compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clients and internal partners.
• Ability to independently resolve complex issues while managing cross-functional relationships.
• Experience supporting plan conversions by analyzing prior recordkeeper files and coordinating with stakeholders for resolution.

Responsibilities

• Consult with plan sponsors to resolve delinquencies and develop actionable plans.
• Respond clearly to transactional inquiries and guide internal partners through outcomes and next steps.
• Support departmental initiatives, process improvements, and system implementations; document errors and identify root causes.
