Job summary

The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company is seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant to provide objective guidance aligned with plan sponsors and employees eligible for the applicable retirement savings plan. The role includes delivering presentations, enrollment meetings, and educational sessions to raise awareness of plan features.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), and securities licenses (Series 7/66) with appropriate state insurance licenses; CFP/ChFC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Series 7, Series 66 preferred and appropriate state insurance licenses required.
• CFP, ChFC or similar designations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group presentations to improve awareness of plan features and to grow plan assets.
• Present enrollment meetings, age-based financial education meetings, and sophisticated financial literacy meetings as requested by the plan sponsor or determined by the education plan.
• Attend benefit fairs and new employee orientations; participate in annual plan reviews and financial education planning.
• Assist Relationship Manager/ District VP with targeted education campaigns to increase participation and deferral rates.
• Meet with participants and eligible employees to educate on plan participation.
• Travel dependent on territory may be required for new plan enrollments.
