Job description

Our analysts complete qualified retirement plan administration starting from data collection through Form 5500 delivery for companies that range in size from owner-only businesses through large plan filers. Analysts work collaboratively with team members, consultants and management while training to manage a client list of their own.

Our team is looking for someone with 2-5 years experience with Defined Contribution plan administration, including but not limited to:

  • Payroll or Census data scrubbing and verification
  • ADP/ACP testing and corrections
  • Profit sharing allocation calculations
  • FT Williams compliance and 5500 experience
  • Exposure to large and small plan filers
  • Trust accounting with an understanding of accruals
  • Secure and Secure 2.0 regulation updates and affects on Qualified Retirement Plans
  • Communicating with clients and advisors to discuss plan document permissions, allocations, and plan eligibility requirements

Qualifications

  • General knowledge of data analytics, statistics and advanced mathematical calculation techniques as may be obtained with a 4-year degree in Mathematics, Business, or related technical field and minimum 1 year experience working with qualified pension and benefits plans in an administrative or technical capacity. Additional demonstrated experience may be substituted for education.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FTW software and Microsoft Office software preferred.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data, perform mathematical calculations, identify, and solve problems and follow complex instructions.
  • Ability to read and write at an advanced level to understand complex legal documents.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to internal staff and external clients and advisors in a manner that is clear and responsive to questions and issues.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team. Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects.
  • Ability to perform analyses and produce professional reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to learn and work with other retirement plan related system platforms and software as may be gained through training or prior work experience.
  • Understanding of DBZ policies, procedures, mission, goals, objectives, and organization values as acquired through company handbook, written policies, and on-the-job experience.
  • Ability to maintain designated membership in the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).

Normal office conditions 100%. Sedentary for extended time periods while working on a computer. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines.
